taste + style
“The somewhat thicker skins of Albariño add to the intense aromas of almond paste and ginger, accented by citrus zest. Mostly full, this wine has a luscious mouth-feel, in unexpected ways. Flavors of dried apricot and starfruit are showcased in a wine that’s crisp and pleasantly tart, a wonderful pairing for richly sauced seafood. After four vintages, we feel we’re really doing justice with this signature wine of Spain.” –Dave Guffy, Director of Winemaking
Vineyard + Production
The steep mountain slopes and higher elevation vineyards of Mount Veeder take advantage of the cooling marine influence from the San Francisco Bay, providing cool afternoon breezes and warmer nights that create microclimates and produce rich mountain fruit of distinct character.
Food + Wine Pairing
“Salty and sweet combinations like fresh peaches wrapped in Jamón Serrano, steamed shellfish with chorizo or Boquerones with preserved lemons and pickled onions.“ –Chad Hendrickson, Executive Chef
