The Lions Release Dinner 2019

Join us for an unforgettable evening…
In 1978, Donald Hess was drawn to Mount Veeder’s high elevation and challenging mountain climate. He knew the rugged land would produce great grapes, leading to even greater wines. Today, the lion symbolizes the bold and persevering nature of our founder Donald Hess and our winery home on Mount Veeder, Napa Valley – it’s on every bottle of wine from The Hess Collection. The Lion Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and The Lioness Estate Chardonnay represent the best of our pride from our best vineyards in Napa Valley.

The Lion Cabernet Sauvignon represents the very best Cabernet Sauvignon we produce from our estate vineyards on Mount Veeder in the very best vintages. The 2016 vintage showcases the signature style of Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon with a rich, dense entry and supple texture.

As the next generation takes the helm, The Lioness pays homage to the women of the Hess Family who now lead the pride. This Chardonnay blends the abundance and power of Napa Valley with an agile touch of winemaking.
