Hess Small Block Series Syrah Rosé
Vintage: 2010
Blend: 75% Syrah, 25% Petite Sirah
Appellation: Napa Valley
Analysis: Alcohol: 14.2% | pH: 3.32 | TA: 0.70 g/100ml
Cooperage: Fermented in neutral French oak (4- to 5-year-old barrels)
Production: 200 Cases
Tasting Notes: Pouring a glass, the aromas instantly recall the first Rainier cherries of the season as well as fresh strawberries, reliably found in roadside fruit stands along the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley during the early spring and summer. The clarity of color is such a dazzling garnet that our winemaker’s wife’s immediate reaction was to jealously wish, "put it on my finger!" A jewel for the season, this dry Rosé is an excellent accompaniment to the longer days of summer. Fruit forward with a refreshing acidity, enjoy it chilled as an aperitif on your back porch tonight!
